TRIO Oklahoma provides support to transplant candidates, recipients, donors and their families to help alleviate the stresses and problems associated with the process.
Advocacy
TRIO-Oklahoma makes the concerns and needs that affect the welfare of transplant candidates, recipients, and their families and the donor families known to federal, state and local government bodies. Our purpose is to effectively communicate these views on issues in the field of transplantation and organ and tissue donation to the general public.
Education
TRIO-Oklahoma provides transplant candidates, recipients, donors and their families with current information on developments in organ and tissue donation, transplantation, medications, social issues and finances. We inform them on initiatives in the transplant field by federal, state and local government bodies.
Awareness
TRIO-Oklahoma promotes organ and tissue donation as an important social responsibility. We use our voice to support and promote mechanisms to improve the availability of organs and tissues on an equitable basis to meet the needs of transplant candidates.
